Our Absynthe Restaurant Blog provides insights and updates from the world of hospitality. We will highlight and share our activity in the kitchen, the bar and the restaurant as well as delving deep into our extensive cellar.
Absynthe Blog is up an running! Our new website is also well on the way to being completed. We are focussing on interacting with our customers this year and becoming more available and are embracing all we can with social media. We love customer feedback and also sharing our knowledge, information and what we are passionate about. Enjoy!
Congratulations on embarking on engaging with diners via new media - it makes me want to visit again sooner from Melbourne. Your new website is also elegant & informative. I've just launched an online searchable dB mapping the locations of 5,000 Australian vineyards, cellar doors and wineries - like your wine list you can search just by grape variety. Visit www.vinefinders.com.au While it would be possible to map the locations of the wines on your list, as you correctly list vintages, the changes would be frequent!
I am a French-born Chef and the owner of Absynthe Restaurant and Bakery. Over the years I have collected many awards for my culinary skills and passion for food; including two Michelin stars which I received in Belgium. At Absynthe we serve contemporary French-Australian cuisine. It opened in 2006 after 3 years of searching for the perfect location on the Gold Coast. I have also been collecting wines all my life from around the world. We currently have 1000 on our wine list.
